Social Engagement

 

 

Isolation is much more than just feeling lonely.  A lack of connection with others can lead to signs of depression and a decline in overall health and wellbeing.  Stimulating social engagement is a key element in healthy aging and can result in better mental health, and increased self-esteem.  It has also been proven that social engagement can result in better overall physical health and even cognitive function which in turn results in an overall better quality of life!
